THE CAUSE
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the Navy SEAL Foundation, which supports the men and their families of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE, SEAL and SWCC communities.
THE FOUNDATION
The Navy SEAL Foundation was founded in 2000 by former members of NSW. Their mission is to provide educational and motivational support for the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE (NSW) community, promote health and welfare, and perpetuate the history and heritage of the U.S. NAVAL COMMANDOS. *** NOTE FROM RACE DIRECTOR ROB WALLACE: in an effort to maximize the services offered to all triathletes, Tigershark Events is now partnering with a different bike shop at each race this season. This will allow competitors to get aquainted with each shop owner to better understand the different services and products available to them. Each retail shop has selected a race to support and will provide space for packet pickup, technical support, gift cards, door prizes and special offers to the competitors. They will showcase their brands of bikes and accessories, but still provide the basics on race morning to suit everyone’s needs.
The owners of Plan B Cycling, Daytona Bicycle Center, The Bike Shop and GG Events are focused on uniting the cycling community to better support our area athletes.
